OUR MISSION

The mission of Kent Affordable Housing is to increase diverse housing opportunities in Kent, CT.

We are a non-profit that develops, builds, manages, and owns affordable housing units. We do it because we believe that affordable housing is the very best way to support and sustain an equitable community.



THE NEED

Data from before the pandemic showed that 40% of households (460) in the Town of Kent would qualify for affordable housing, and 199 households are severely cost burdened, paying more than 50% of their income on housing.


SOUTH COMMON

South Common is a 24 unit rental facility just south of the town center, developed and owned by Kent Affordable Housing, which was completed in 2003. The units are affordable to households making 25-60% of the area median income.


STUART FARM

Stuart Farm has 13 rental units developed and owned by Kent Affordable Housing near the town center. It was built in three phases between 2010 and 2020. The apartments are affordable to households making 25-80% of the area median income.
